In today’s age, efficiency is key if you want to keep up with the latest fashion and trends. Some people find it very easy to look at a piece of clothing they own and imagine up to 50 varying outfits they can create. Sometimes it can be very difficult to look at a piece of clothing you own and think “I can do so much with this and not get bored”. Finding efficiency and inspiration in one item of clothing is a task for sure, but not necessarily a challenging one!
We want to inspire you to work with what you have!
Our shop carries a variety of unique and well-crafted bottoms. But our personal favourite is the Farrah Ankle Skinny Leatherette. These skinny jeans are high-rise and have a narrow leg for a streamlined fit in a leatherette fabric, perfect for a day or night look! Want to see how we styled this piece 4 ways? Keep reading!
Let’s start with a more casual look, shall we? It's inspired from our deep desire to go to a tropical island until this storm blows over. The leatherette is paired with a comfy Retro California Sweatshirt. Everyone loves a good vintage top to lounge in. This cotton fleece pullover sweatshirt with California palm tree graphic is a perfect option. It’s also great for travel – you know, if you ever want to escape this snowmaggedon. Complete the look with some slip-on shoes or even runners and you’re all set!
This next look is more what I like to call “the casual badass”. Here, we paired the leatherettes with a grungier styled Levon Knit Sweater. This sweater is a crew neck that has contrast knit on the wrists and hem. It features Italian yarn (ummm yes please!) and a distressed weave with side slits. Plus, the beautiful cream colour is a great contrast against the leatherettes. Wear this out running errands or even at a casual get-together with friends. Pair the outfit with some cute booties and a cross-body bag.
So you’re probably thinking that these black leatherettes might be too bold for you – maybe too strong. Let me show you how you can dress them up to look sweet and girly, so they’re not too intimidating. Here, we’ve paired them with this Button Front Seams Cami. This cute button front cami with a peplum waist with adjustable straps creates a beautiful and feminine image, softening the leatherettes. See? Not as intimidating as you thought!
Finally, we have the ultimate “I’m heading out and wanna look like a BADASS BOSS” pairing. First, bodysuits are badass in and of themselves. They really don’t need a lot of help. But pair them with these jeans and you are unstoppable! Here we paired them with this black Senza Bodysuit. We love the ribbed material and long sleeves with tie shoulders straps! It is a versatile piece you can wear out for a girl’s night out or a date night.
